My friends, 2009 has been a difficult year on many fronts - poor weather, the recession, the Ryan and the Murphy Reports and of course, the passing of our most beloved Father Jack, R.I.P.

As the prayer after the Our Father at mass reminds us - 'We live in joyful hope for the coming of Our Saviour Jesus Christ'. As we gather again with our families, may we cherish these special days with one another. May our celebration and sharing refresh and renew us in spirit.

We thank you so much for your unfailing kindness, support and understanding over this past year and we wish you all a truly serene and joyful Christmas Season.
